Baby Tea Party - Jan 9

This tea party was from the play group moms in our play group at an English Tea House. Had fresh tea, little pastries, tea sandwiches & soup. It was so fun & perfect for the cold day we had.

First game everyone had to draw a picture of a baby on top of their heads on a paper plate.

Meaghan & Barbara

I had to choose a winning baby that I thought looked most like Zachary! I loved them all, they were so "unique" but I loved that this baby had fingers & toes, a smiley face & hair.

The cake was delish.

They were all so sweet, got some really cute things for him. Tonie in the background.

Back at the house, Todd was watching Gracie & Sophia so her mom, who organized the shower could be there! They had lots of fun.

MANATEES!!

Blue Springs National Park - Gracie brought her Manatee to see the Manatees, what a cool idea, right?

Well, as mommy picked her up in excitement to see one swimming towards us on one of the docks, she dropped it into the water. I didn't realize but heard blood curling screaming & people sighing, "oh no!" Then low & behold, there's her manatee bobbing along in the water. The wind was carrying it further out, what could we do? I wanted to take a photo but, bad mommy, that's bad! So I held her & told her we'd get it somehow, then I'm starting to tear up because I feel so awful for her. She is clearly stressed out. I'm getting horrible looks from daddy, like it was all my fault. A man was so sweet offering to find a fishing pole, another Japanese woman was consoling her, "you mommy buy you new one!" Yes, if only mommy had bought her this one, it was from Gramma & Papa at some tourist place in north Florida. I prayed & prayed, asked God to send the wind the other way, that somehow this Manatee would come to shore & eventually it did! Thank you again, Lord! So daddy hopped the fence to get it & we're all waiting, and waiting, and wondering where the heck he is, we couldn't see him through the trees, and people are questioning out loud, where is he? In the photo below the manatee is waiting & wondering, too when he'll be rescued! Finally we see him & he grabs it & comes back up. We meet & he's bent over, poor guy twisted his knee when hopping the fence & was having a very hard time getting down there to save the manatee! What a great dad! Everyone cheered, it was embarrassingly sweet & funny at the same time.

So now we're relieved, and happy. Half of manatee is wet & half is dry, so he's put safely away in my bag. Now we can enjoy the real manatees we came to see!

Sitting on a bench, looking at the view of palm trees swaying above, it was a beautiful day

Aaah yes, and don't forget the pose!

She's got this little body with big hair.

She looks like a little woman or something, it's really hilarious.

Christmas Eve Service

She fell asleep during service right before the candle lighting ceremony - she would've loved it.

But she got her fire instead, the girl loves fires

Put out cookies for Santa & carrots for Rudolph

Now finally in bed & here the main present awaits to greet her in the morning. I was SO excited. We kept asking what she'd like for Christmas after she'd say that Santa was coming to her house to bring her lots of presents.

What kind of presents? "Just lots & lots of pretty boxes!" What do you want inside the boxes? "lots of presents!" Ummmm, okay. Not helping. I'd been wanting to get her a huge dolphin since she loves dolphins. I couldn't find one that wasn't a trillion dollars plus shipping. The week of Christmas she tells me that Santa is going to bring her a big dolphin! Oh my gosh! As soon as we got home I rushed online & wouldn't you know, I found one for 19.99 and $4 bucks for shipping. What?! It was a total God experience, He knew she really wanted a doldphin & he knew how much she'd love it. That could've been the only present we got her!

So here she is, it's Christmas morning & the first thing she tells us "Mommy, daddy, Santa got me a big dolphin!" I could not believe how sure she was. Then once we said let's go find out she got scared & laid on our floor. She thinks Santa is in our living room, waiting to personally hand deliver her presents. HA!

After 5 minutes of coaxing & reassuring that Santa had SO many other children to give presents to & he is probably home asleep from exhaustion, she slowly comes out of the hallway to take a peak.

The expression after seeing the dolphin & seeing the presents under the tree - she really was in disbelief about the dolphin & took her a while to go see it. But she named her right away. She said "it's a big dolphin!" "It's a Kailee dolphin!" And so since then the dolphin's name is Kailee like her big cousin Kailee. :)

Lite Bright!

Shelby's starting to feel left out back there, anything for me?

Here she got Kailee dolphin & checking her out

Lip gloss!

A little makeup set, here Shelby, you need some blush!

This says it all.

Dancing to Veggie Tales Christmas - she is SO in love!

Hanging at the bar

Laying on her pillow, she asked me to take a picture of the 2 of them.

Green nail polish! This was a hit, every time we'd go to paint toes she'd ask for green polish, so I found some for her. She couldn't wait to paint her toes.

Next day we went to the zoo, posing with the elephant

Daddy get me!

Looks like the clouds are God's fingers, it was really amazing in person.

Poor Todd "suffering" eating a PB&J after the zoo. "You hate me don't you, you really hate me!" He says. I was laughing so hard, Gracie & I eat these practically every day so what's the big deal? He's spoiled, that's the deal. Poor baby.

Kailee Dolphin had to go for a walk with us.
